Of course that would involve cat eye glasses, a very tight cashmere sweater set, pencil skirt (very snug) and stilletto pumps. No jewelry.

I would love to see Money penny in a version of the classic Bond tux. Very Yves Saint Laurent. Perhaps a velvet tuxedo - skinny fit trousers that are slightly cropped to flash the ankle, a fitted jacket and a white blouse, very slightly sheer to keep Bond's attention. And of course the sharpest Louboutin's, because obviously they would double up as a weapon if necessary. A sort of 21st century power woman Money penny.

I picture miss Money Penny wearing a tartan skirt and a frilled blouse. Tucked in with a black cardigan and small yellow belt. Her shoes are stiletto heals which can be used as pens if she was ever to be without one. Her glasses was made by Q and could scan any document and by adjusting the glasses, she could send the files to her laptop or directly to M or Bond.

sleeveless black dress with a classic pearl necklace or a silk scarf tied with a brooch and one-pearl earrings, black pointed kitten heels, cat-eye eyeglasses and some really plain gold cuff up tight at one arm.

She wears little makeup. A light moisturizer, a tap of rose balm for her lips, a smudge of luminizer, a healthy cat-eye flick of eyeliner, and a few coats of a quality mascara. Her hair is pulled to a slightly messy knot.

The frames of her glasses, used only for the reading of small print on documents and rarely worn, are designed by Oliver Peoples or someone of that ilk. She picks a unisex frame, something well shaped.

Her lingerie is from Stella McCartney. Some slight lace embellished pieces, in black and nude with light support. Nothing too overt.

On colder, wetter days, she wears her well tailored Burberry trench in black to allude to the secretive job she holds. She invested in a solid leather satchel, also black, from a fine cordonnier she hunted out during her last vacation, alone, in Paris. She stores a few soft cardboard cover notebooks, a fine pen and her latest read, comfortably in it.

A.P.C.'s Winter 2013 collection released a bordeaux crêpe dress with peter pan collar that would be quite perfect for Miss Money Penny. It clings to her form slightly. She wears it with stockings of the same shade.

She dresses her form simply, as her intellect is complex.

The only jewelry she wears is an imperfect ring from Satomi Kawakita. One barely there diamond inset to a gold band.

Her black Mulberry leather pumps complete the outfit. They are only slightly raised, at two or so inches, but they accent her form.

She wants James to notice, but she's also a woman of priorities.

I believe Katie Holmes has worn a few outfits that I think are very suitable for a more 'contemporary' Moneypenny. A bit trendy yes, but not over the top. Outfits that are still appropriate at the office but at the same time, not too bland.

A few examples:

tartan skirt
silk off white shirt
beige mid heels
vintage big glasses

My outfit for her consists of a twin set paired with an über tight pencil skirt and Ferragamo vara pumps. All topped off with a great 60's cocoon coat. As accessories a Kelly bag, cat eyed sunglasses, a carré silk head-scarf tied to the neck and tons of gold jewelry.

As for the make-up she'll make a statement with her lips, not red, but a bright pink somehow. The rest of it will be pretty simple: some blusher and a little bit of mascara. Her hair will be pulled to a classic chignon.

She would wear a sixties shift in black and white dogtooth with a beehive and cat eye spectacles!

Love your new topshop Chelsea boots. Are they true to size?

Miss Money Penny - definitely in a long skirt, past her knees but figure-hugging. Topped off with a peter-pan collar shirt, with collar clips and edgy cat-eye glasses to go with it.
